    @mcjulie I mean, they were permitted to bring the national capital of Canada to a standstill for far longer than I expected. This seems kinda LESS surprising to me.       @mcjulie (He's a conservative, which is why it took forever. If First Nations people protested an oil pipeline by converging on Ottawa with trucks, I figure they never would have gotten into the city, and everyone who survived arrest and detainment would probably still be in custody.)
