Day 4 of playing #WaitForMeRPG. (And yeah, I have poured one out for the sanshin before. No, I don't believe in spirits, but Wonmisan meant a lot to me, so I embraced the metaphor.)

It's a fascinating game: a surprising walk down memory lane that's definitely very much NOT nostalgic (for me). Thinking it over, I feel like nostalgia (esp the more toxic kind) tends to be passive. OTOH #WaitForMeRPG encourages actively (&creatively) engaging with your own past?

... and thus avoids the nostalgia trap, while still being potentially very affecting. Even this light installment pushed some deep buttons for me. Still puzzling through this half-formed thought. Maybe more on that later.
