@GeekinKorea It's almost always this kind of thing, both in terms of, "We fixed the problem here, but not over here," and also in terms of, "Who needs more than 30 spaces to enter their name?" I mean... lots of people do. I do!

@GeekinKorea One thing I think the gov't should implement is letting non-Koreans taken Koreanized (Hangeul) names that represent only part of their name. Like, skipping middle names, etc. Problem is nobody's willing to take responsibility for the hassle.
-
@GeekinKorea I've asked the Ministry of Immigration, "Can you skip our middle names so we can have access to basic online services here? I've been waiting almost 20 years for the name entry issue to be fixed, and it's clear it's not going to be."
-
@GeekinKorea "But your name needs to match your name in your passport." "But the rest of the planet doesn't force people to use their full name as their username on government, banking, and shopping websites, because it causes too many problems." "Nothing we can do about it."
-
@GeekinKorea And the Ministry of Justice is literally the people who run the system by which our names enter into the database, so... (Sigh.) Even credit card companies here get that an initial is sufficient for a cardholder name.
