@kimhanolkim Thanks for the solutions. I actually have Hangeul (the software) installed, I just *hate* using it. My question was more one of those "old man yelling at clouds" things... expressing a frustration that I suspect nearly non-Korean in Korea who works with text shares. That said...

@kimhanolkim ... it's nice to have options. Polaris is especially a surprise. 10wontips.blogspot.com/2016/08/use-polaris-office-to-edit-hangul-hwp.html Oh, and I have a Naver account, but I think I cannot sign in. The password needed updating, and to update I had to confirm my ID using a phone under my name...

@kimhanolkim ... and like so many other people entering my name into an "official, needs correct spelling" system, my name's spelled wrong in the system, so I couldn't confirm my identity. Eventually, I had to just give up on trying. (Though I finally got it restarted after a few years.)

@kimhanolkim Not an uncommon story: South Korea's internet security only "works" if you're Korean. If not, you're often blocked from accessing anything. Which makes life harder as more and more services move online and require "official" logins.

@kimhanolkim Gov't needs to let us officially Koreanize our names on our Alien Registration Cards so we can have access to things. Most expats I know mostly gave up years ago on trying to use Korean websites at all. (And any Korean partners involved get stuck handling everything online.) :(
