    1. The dude who sees a totally empty cinema seat listing, reserves a seat beside the only reserved seat, then walks up and asks you to move your bag, because the 109 other (empty!) seats aren’t the one he reserved. Never seen this regularly anywhere but Korea... have you?

    For what it’s worth, I looked at him balefully, shook my head, and moved. I don’t understand why he’d choose to sit right beside me.

      For what it's worth, after I moved, it was fine. A couple came in about 20 minutes into the movie, and I think I was in the seat they'd booked. I was surprised when they just quietly sat in a different row.

        So there is that. But I do wish people didn't have that instinct to jam themselves up against whoever's in a place. It's... always unpleasant for me, and they never seem to grasp how or why that could be the case. Korea's not an easy place for people who value quiet and solitude.
