  1. So, I'm not the first person who looked at that photo and thought immediately of how much it resembled a movie poster from a few years back, am I? I can't be... @koryodynasty/1504442868563595269

  2. Eternally classy, those K-netizens. I’m exhausted of the blackface show racism and I’m white... imagine how frustrating it must be. Good on Sam Okyere for speaking oit, and on those supporting him. Shame on the bigots attacking him. @SSEq0U91tMeeSsC/1291376397542334464
  3. So this month's Clarkesworld is up. Among this month's excellent offerings is some #KoreanSF: Myung-Hoon Bae's "The Peppers of GreenScallion," which was co-translated by Jihyun Park (@brutalrice) and me. clarkesworldmagazine.com/myung-hoon_06_19/
  4. Disgusted at what's going on with the government crackdown on the unions in Korea.

  5. I cannot unsee the obvious connection between all the violent crime against women and the accelerating antifeminist backlash among young men here. It's... so obvious. Is anyone *actually* doing anything about it? @koryodynasty/1486588495754047489
  6. clarkesworldmagazine.com/ My new story's out! 19th century robot uprising! Blood! Music! Horrors! French words! Wonders galore!

    There's also an interview I did w/ the author/translator/writer's union chair/tireless polymath of #KoreanSF, Soyeon Jeong. clarkesworldmagazine.com/another_word_06_19/
  8. Our interview with Djuna (@djuna01), a titan of South Korean SF, is included this month's Clarkesworld, alongside a ton of other great stuff for you to check out! clarkesworldmagazine.com/djuna_interview/
  9. We're looking for Korean extras for our film shoot at the end of the month. Info (in Korean): bit.ly/T3obrL PLEASE SHARE #help!
  10. This panel last night was fascinating! And it's available now for those who weren't around and would like to see it! (Same link.) @futureconsf/1306186064491675648
  11. [Announcement:] Our translation of Boyoung Kim's An Evolutionary Myth is online now! gordsellar.com/?p=19029

@Rob_York_79 So... he'd rather be a white man in China *saying* he'd rather be a Uyghur in China than a Black man in America...
  13. Mandatory car inspection today. This is where you receive your verdict: the “Judgment ROOM”!

  14. Yeah, I've been thinking this for months and months. Like, adults were all, "I can't read or concentrate for long periods anymore!" and "I lost another loved one," and "I'm so stressed out" for years, and "experts" are like, "Why aren't kids doing so well in school anymore?" @tlecaque/1565561056176611334
  15. Something Tookish! is now out! It's a @BrindlewoodBay hack for playing out cozy mysteries in a bucolic halfling village. We had a ball playtesting this. Thanks to @jasoncordova6 for such an excellent ruleset. Link in next tweet.

The (free) Stretch Goals have more playbooks and also a lovely recipe/game compilation by Jeeyon Shim, which is unusual in having recipes I actually want to try—a first for RPG recipe collections I've seen possumcreekgames.itch.io/wanderhome-stretch-goals.
  17. Um, why is Korea Post saying they cannot send mail (including election ballots) to the United States? How? Why? Is this new? I want to know more about this. @ryanestrada/1308270629372583937
  18. I'm far behind: back in April, I read this to my son: Mouse Guard: The Owlhen Caregiver and Other Tales by David Petersen #booksread2022 gordsellar.com/2022/04/12/mouse-guard-the-owlhen-caregiver-and-other-tales-by-david-petersen/

@NaomiFrances1 @LeslieS17316152 @eric_chaffey @ggreeneva @YourAnonNews Some people drive illegally without a license or insurance. That's not an argument against automotive insurance. (Or, well, it is, but it's an idiotic one. So is the analogous one about criminals ignoring stricter gun laws/controls, and for precisely the same reason.)
  20. So, we're back to "COVID-19 is spreading rampantly" now here in Korea. Of course, it's nothing compared to the US numbers: just 279 confirmed cases in the past 24 hours (for a country with a population of ~51 million). Number of clusters linked to churches.
  21. Behold, my monstrous offspring! Yep, my forthcoming @LotFP book is looking mighty slick! Incredible team effort went into this gorgeous, dreadful thing. @vyderac/1240788932993974274
  22. Voila: the grungy fruit-based mascot of our little Korean town. Reminds me of something from a @simonstalenhag painting.

  23. …in reply to @kamorris101
@kamorris101 @ToddKenreck That's basically my B-team character in one game I play in: his chair has pincer claws, a scorpion tail, and crossbow bolt and javelin launchers. The (paraplegic) pilot's a bookish goblin historian/mechanic.

@paraempathetic @KaitlynHalfPint @Mooseplainer @dlbowman76 Even funnier, a friend of mine had his done in Austin and, no word of a lie, the best-known doctor for giving vasectomies there at the time was one "Richard Chopp." ("Rick" Chopp was his chosen contraction.) wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702303499204576390082223366812
