@wickedmilkhotel I mean, I can totally imagine a teacher doing that to sabotage a student socially, but it was clear he was trying to encourage me AND maybe teach me a lesson about the price of vagueness. (I managed to say nothing until I burst out laughing at the bizarre interpretations.)
