@jeremiahtolbert Adaptive bias, Type 1 error? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_bias I sometimes do it in class. A student answers a question with something that sounds like a commonly misused word or idiom; I correct the error; student says, “No, I said [something else].”
