  1. Bought a sax mouthpiece today—great deal—from a guy living in a small village outside Cheongju. A really great, nice, friendly guy. He also amazed me by playing sax with 9.5 fingers. (He had a key attachment built onto his sax for the partly-amputated finger.)

      If anyone's actually curious, it's a Theo Wanne Durga 3 with an 8 facing. No "Enlightened ligature," but that's why it was so cheap. (Third hand, apparently.) Has a little more edge on the tone than my other tenor mouthpiece, and a little more power. Nice piece.

        When I say it was a small village, I am not kidding. A neighbour of his down the road had several cows on their property. (That said, I think technically it was within Cheongju city limits...)
