    @ahimsakerp Hmm. With food, sure, maybe. With food safety or traffic laws or countless other systems, though, it’s more like institutional negligence. Nothing says you have to haphazardly adopt a system that doesn’t click culturally. Insisting on doing so seems perversely negligent somehow.

      @ahimsakerp (For example, traffic lights & posted speed limits only really work for populations with an almost universally internalized respect for law/systematic action. For populations where it’s less universal, such things likely increase risk, because it means effective non-enforcement.)
